The Civic Coalition for Defending the Palestinians’ Rights in Jerusalem (CCDPRJ) affiliated with Jerusalem Legal Aid and Human Rights Center (JLAC) established a legal clinic to provide qualitative pro bono legal services to incapable and marginalized Jerusalemites Palestinians, protecting their rights and saving them lawyers’ honoraria, by a qualified team of lawyers and specialists.


Overall Goal:  

Providing and improving the legal and the technical support offered to Jerusalemites Palestinians.  

                  
Clinic's objectives:


· To provide Jerusalemites Palestinians with legal, technical consultations and guidance on various daily life issues, including land ownership and confiscation, settlements, building and structural organization procedures, houses demolition, family reunification, child registration, ID cards withdrawal, taxes, mobility restrictions and other issues related to Palestinians' rights in Jerusalem.


· To organize awareness raising activities, such as public meetings and seminars in the different neighborhoods highlighting the rights of Palestinians in Jerusalem.
· To produce the needed publications to raise Palestinians' awareness of their rights.


· To sponsor a number of general legal issues and identify means of confrontation.


· To strengthen field coordination amongst legal institutions' members of the CCDPRJ and maximizing the utilization of their capacities, in order to assist them achieving the clinic's objectives and support the sustainability of these institutions.
